TEMPLE FAIR PARADE: The annual Temple Fair in Samut Prakan kicked off early this morning with the parade through town. The fair at Phra Samut Chedi has been going on now for 183 years which makes it the longest running temple fair in Thailand.
งานแห่ผ้าห่มองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์: เช้านี้ เวลา 8 นาฬิกา มีพิธีการเปิดงานนมัสการองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ ซึ่งจัดติดต่อกันมากว่า 183 ปี โดยมีการแห่ผ้าห่มองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ไปรอบบริเวณตลาดปากน้ำ โดยมีนักเรียนจากโรงเรียนต่างๆ ในจังหวัด และประชาชนมาร่วมขบวนแห่ในครั้งนี้ โดยแต่ละกลุ่มได้แต่งกายด้วยชุดต่างๆ อย่างสวยงาม หลังจากแห่รอบตลาดปากน้ำแล้ว มีการนำผ้าห่มฯ ลงเรือเพื่อทำการแห่ต่อที่อำเภอพระประแดง ท้ายสุดก็นำผ้าไปที่วัดพระสมุทรเจดีย์เพื่อทำการห่มองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
