PRAYING FOR NATION, RELIGION AND THE KING: Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan Province, led local people at Wat Pichai Songkram in pledging loyalty to "Nation, Religion and the King". The activity was organized in order to bring about Thai unity and to encourage Thai people to be proud of their nation.

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
