RELEASING OF BIRDS AND FISH: Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, led other local people in the releasing of fish and birds at Wat Prodket in Phra Pradaeng on the afternoon of 18th May 2010. Also present were the winners of the Songkran Beauty Contest.

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
