PHRA PRADAENG SONGKRAN PARADE: Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, took the lead in the Songkran Parade through the streets of Phra Pradaeng on the afternoon of 18th April 2010. Thousands of local people lined both sides of the road as at least ten colourfully decorated floats and marching bands passed by in the parade which took nearly one hour to go from the District Office to Wat Prodket.

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
