SWAN AND CENTIPEDE PARADE: On Tuesday 13th April 2010, Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, formerly opened the Swan and Centipede Parade at Wat Khan Lat in Phra Pradaeng District. The streets of Phra Pradaeng were lined with thousands of local people who came to watch Mons from various local temples parading with the Centipede Flag and Swan. At the end of the parade, each temple hoisted their centipede flag up the Swan Pole.
ประเพณี แห่หงส์ ธงตะขาบ 53: ประเพณีแห่หงส์ ธงตะขาบ เป็นประเพณีที่มีมากว่า 30 ปีแล้ว มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อรำลึกถึงบรรพบุรุษชาวมอญ โดยชาวมอญในอำเภอพระประแดงจะร่วมกันจัดทำธงตะขาบของหมู่บ้านตน และแห่ไปตามจุดต่างๆ ของตลาดพระประแดง โดยในปี 53 นี้ วัดที่เป็นเจ้าภาพคือวัดคันลัด

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
