ORDINATION AT WAT PICHAI SONGKRAM: On the morning of 6th April 2010, Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan Province, presided over the ordination ceremony for local boys. They will become novice monks during the school summer holidays in honour of H.M. The King.

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
