HAPPY APRIL AT ANCIENT SIAM: On the 22nd March 2010, Mr Surachai Kanasa, the Governor of Samut Prakan, presided over the press conference at the Ancient Siam to reveal the exciting events for April 2010. These include traditional Thai dance and plays, worshipping at Guan Ong Imran shrine and 9 Buddha images. Highlights include Songkran activities and a special night tour. is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
