LIFE ALONG THE RIVER EXHIBITION: Mr. Surachai Kanasa, the governor of Samut Prakan Province, opened an art and culture exhibition on 19th March 2010 called "Life Along the River". The paintings depict every day life in Amphoe Bang Phli. They are on exhibit at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel from now until 19th April 2010.

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
