THAI ORCHID FESTIVAL AT ANCIENT SIAM: As part of the celebration for the new year, Ancient Siam have organized the Thai Orchid Festival which will run between 31st December 2009 and 3rd January 2010. The event was officially opened by Mr. Surachai Kanasa, Governor of Samut Prakan.
เทศกาลกล้วยไม้ไทย ปีใหม่เมืองโบราณ: ช่วงบ่ายของวันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2552 นายสุรชัย ขันอาสา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ พร้อมด้วยภริยานางทองพิน ขันอาสา ได้ให้เกียรติเดินทางไปเปิดงาน "เทศกาลกล้วยไม้ไทย ปีใหม่เมืองโบราณ" ที่จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 31 ธันวาคม 2552 - 3 มกราคม 2553 ณ บริเวณสวนไกรทอง เมืองโบราณ

is at the far end of the Chao Phraya River, where it empties out into the Gulf of Thailand. The borders to the north and west join the Metropolitan of Bangkok. This photo album concentrates mainly on Paknam where we live, but we also have pictures about events and festivals around the province. We are close enough to Bangkok for people to come for a day trip. We don't get many independent foreign tourists so this is actually a good place to experience "Untouched Thailand".
