ตักบาตรพระ 11,111 รูป: เทศบาลนครสมุทรปราการ ร่วมกับ สมาคมพุทธรักษา ภาคีสหพันธ์รวมใจไทยทั้งชาติ ชมรมชาวพุทธสมุทรปราการ เครือข่ายชาวพุทธและภาคเอกชน กำหนดจัด “โครงการตักบาตรพระ 11,111 รูป ถวายเป็นพุทธบูชา” ในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 เมษายน 2554 เวลา 06.00-08.00 น. ณ สามแยกหอนาฬิกา ถ.ประโคนชัย ต.ปากน้ำ อ.เมือง จ.สมุทรปราการ  โดยจัดขึ้นเพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาแด่องค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า

ALMS GIVING TO 11,111 MONKS: Early on the morning of 10th April 2011, thousands of people converged on Samut Prakan City to make merit by giving alms to 11,111 monks. The event started at 6 a.m. and took place along Prakhonchai Road in Paknam. Dried food offered to the monks will be sent to the Southern flood victims.

ORDINATION FOR H.M. THE KING: On Sunday 9th January 2011, Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, Governor of Samut Prakan, presided over the ordination of nine men at Wat Chai Mongkhol in Tambon Taiban, Samut Prakan. The men were ordaining as monks in order to celebrate the 84th birthday of HM The King which will take place at the end of this year. 999 men ordained today all over Thailand at the same time.

JAO POR TAP FESTIVAL: Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, Governor of Samut Prakan, opened the Jao Por Tap Festival Parade in Samrong early on the morning of 9th January 2011. Local Chinese people believe that Jao Por Tap will help them to be rich and so his image is very revered. Up to 10,000 people are believed to have taken part in the parade that passed through the town.

CHILDREN'S DAY IN SAMUT PRAKAN 2011: Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, Governor of Samut Prakan is seen here during the National Children's Day celebrations at the Provincial Hall. Various actitivites were put on for the children and they were also given free food and drinks, books and toys.

วันเด็กแห่งชาติในจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ 2554: กิจกรรมวันเด็กแห่งชาติที่จัดขึ้นบริเวณศาลากลางจังหวัด โดยนาย เชิดศักดิ์ ชูศรี ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดได้จัดกิจกรรมให้เด็กๆได้เยี่ยมชมห้องทำงานและถ่ายรูป ร่วมกับท่านผู้ว่าฯ มีการแสดงดนตรี การเล่นเกมส์ การประกวดความสามารถของเด็กในด้านต่างๆ

MAKING MERIT FOR NEW YEAR: Thousands of local people from Paknam joined Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, Governor of Samut Prakan Province, and other dignitiries to give alms to 99 monks from local temples. Prakhonchai Road, in front of the City Pillar, was closed early on the morning of 1st January 2011 for the ceremony.

Merit Making for HM The King's Birthday

MAKING MERIT FOR THE KING: Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, the Governor of Samut Prakan, led government officials and local people in giving alms to 99 monks in honour of His Majesty the King on the occasion of his 83rd birthday.  The ceremony started, on the morning of 5th December 2010, at 7:00 a.m. with chanting and was then followed by alms giving. Afterwards, 1,000,000 sea creatures, such as shrimps, were released into the Chao Phraya River. This evening, Mr. Cherdsak Choosri will lead the local people to light candles to wish the monarch a happy birthday.

ทำบุญตักบาตรวันพ่อแห่งชาติ: เช้า วันนี้ (5 ธันวาคม 2553) เวลาประมาณ 7:00 น. นาย เชิดศักดิ์  ชูศรี ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการเป็นประธานพิธีเปิดงานร่วมกันทำบุญตักบาตร เนื่องในงานเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช ณ บริเวณลานหน้าศาลากลางจังหวัด โดยมีหัวหน้าหน่วยงานราชการต่างๆเข้าร่วม นอกจากนั้นยังมีการปล่อยพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำจำนวน 1 ล้านตัวลงสู่แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ณ บริเวณริมเขื่อนศาลากลางอีกด้วย

LUANG PHOR PAN FESTIVAL PARADE: Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, the Governor of Samut Prakan, is seen here applying gold leaf onto an image of revered monk Luang Phor Pan on Wednesday 10th November 2010 at Wat Mongkhol Khotawat in Klong Dan City. The image is first taken on a boat out into the Gulf of Thailand followed by hundreds of small vessels for a "wien tien". It is then put on a truck for anothe parade across the province which lasted nearly six hours.

งานนมัสการหลวงพ่อปาน ประจำปี 2553: เช้าวันนี้ (10 พ.ย. 2553)  เวลา 7.00 น. มีงานนมัสการหลวงปานประจำปี 2553  ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในประเพณีที่มีความสำคัญและมีชื่อเสียงของจังหวัด สมุทรปราการ งาน โดยจัดขึ้น ณ วัดมงคลโคธาวาส(วัดหลวงพ่อปาน) มีผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ  นายเชิดศักดิ์  ชูศรี    ให้เกียรติเป็นประธาน ในพิธีเปิดงานและร่วมในขบวนแห่ในครั้งนี้

ใน งานมีการอัญเชิญรูปหล่อจำลองของหลวงพ่อปาน ลงเรือบุษบง แห่ไปตามลำคลอง คลองด่าน มุ่งหน้าสู่อ่าวไทย โดยมีเรือประมงชาวบ้านจำนวนมากร่วมในขบวนแห่ทางน้ำ ขบวนแห่แล่นเรือวนจำนวน 3 รอบ จากนั้นเคลื่อนขบวนกลับเข้าฝั่งและอัญเชิญรูปหล่อองค์หลวงพ่อปานขึ้น ประดิษฐานบนรถบุษบกแห่ ไปทางถนนสุขุมวิท  (สายเก่าขาเข้าตัวจังหวัด) โดยมีประชาชนจำนวนมากร่วมนมัสการองค์หลวงพ่อปานตามขบวนแห่ เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลของทุกคน

CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION AT PHRA SAMUT CHEDI: During the evening of the 31st October 2010, Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, the Governor of Samut Prakan, attended chanting and a candlelight procession at Phra Samut Chedi.

พิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์และเวียนเทียนรอบองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์: เมื่อถึงงานนมัสการองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ ในวันที่ 4 ของงานจะมีพิธีเจริญพระพุทธมนต์โดยพระสงฆ์ และจากนั้นเป็นการเวียนเทียนรอบองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ ซึ่งตรงกับวันแรม 8 ค่ำ เดือน 11 ของทุกปี โดยในครั้งนี้ท่านผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ นายเชิดศักดิ์  ชูศรี เป็นประธานในพิธี และนำประชาชน ชาวสมุทรปราการที่มาเข้าร่วมพิธีเวียนเทียนรอบองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ เพื่อเป็นการสักการะพระบรมสารีริกธาตุที่บรรจุอยู่ในองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์

BOAT RACING AT PHRA SAMUT CHEDI: During the morning of Sunday 31st October 2010, local people in Phra Samut Chedi District came together to take part in traditional sports. These included long boat racing, eating cockles, thatching roofs, catching crabs and muay talay (sea boxing). The guest of honour was Mr. Chana Nopsuwa, the Deputy Governor of Samut Prakan.

การแข่งขันเรือประเพณีหน้าองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์ ปี 2553: เริ่มขึ้นในวันอาทิตย์ที่ 31 ต.ค. 2553 หรือตรงกับวันแรม 8 ค่ำ เดือน 11 ณ ริมสายลำน้ำเจ้าพระยา  บริเวณหน้าองค์พระสมุทรเจดีย์  ชิงถ้วยรางวัล ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ซึ่งมีนายชนะ  นพสุวรรณ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ เป็นประธานในพิธี โดยงานนี้เป็นอีกประเพณีหนึ่งที่จัดต่อเนื่องในงานนมัสการองค์พระสมุทร เจดีย์ มีการแสดง การละเล่นต่างๆ ในงานเช่น การแสดงเรือวิถีชีวิตของ 5 ตำบล   การแข่งขันจับปูทะเล  , จับปลาตีน , การแข่งขันการกินหอยแครง ,  การแข่งขันการเย็บจากมุงหลังคา ซึ่งงานต่างๆ นี้เป็นอาชีพพื้นบ้าน ของชุมชนชาวสมุทรปราการนั่นเอง

BOAT RACING AT BANG PHLI NOI: On the morning of 31st October 2010, Mr. Cherdsak Choosri, the Governor of Samut Prakan Province, officially opened the boat racing at Wat Bang Phli Noi. In addition he made merit by releasing fish into the canal and offering robes to the monks.

ประเพณีการแข่งขันเรือพายที่บางพลี: วันนี้  31 ต.ค. 2553 เวลา 9.00 น. ที่หน้าวัดบางพลีน้อย มีพิธีเปิดประเพณีการแข่งเรือพาย โดยนายเชิดศักดิ์  ชูศรี ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการเป็นประธานในพิธี  นิยมจัดการแข่งขันกันในช่วงปลายฤดูฝน เพราะมีน้ำมากพอที่จะมีการแข่งเรือได้ดี
